Right lets get going .You have two options to start with, you can either buy raw silver from your local distributor, or find a Jewelry Manufacture that will supply you with the materials, there is a choice between 925 or 985 in the grade of silver you buy, I prefer to work in Fine silver 985, but you may find this a little difficult to buy. For the purpose of this article we are going to choose the second option and buy our material from a reputable Jewelry Manufacture and we are going to start with making a simple Sterling silver 925 pendant with a Turquoise cabochon Gemstone.

The majority of tools needed can be purchased form a good hardware store and some of the more hard to find items you will be able to get from either a Silver Jewelry Manufacture or Supplier.

Your heat source can be either a gas bottle with extension hose and flame adjusting nozzle or as we use in our workshop a petrol bellows and hose set with adjustable nozzle, its important witch ever set you buy that you can regulate the flame and heat .Next comes the hand tools you will need a small brass hammer, tweezers about 7inches long, small tin snips, brass block 4inches by 4inches and 1inch thick ,rags,2part epoxy, battery acid, fine grade file , a flexible shaft grinder and a ceramic base to heat your silver on ,here is a handy tip a house brick and unglazed roof tile work just great. That should be enough for you to get started.

Step1 is to cut a strip of silver slightly wider then the thickness of the turquoise and long enough to wrap around the diameter of the gemstone, and carefully cut it so as the 2 ends meet tightly around the gemstone.

Step2, take your solder and place a small amount of flux on the two joins, heat the silver strip till red, apply the solder carefully, and it’s joined. If you haven’t done any soldering before try a few practice runs first, you will be able to use that silver later on.

Step3, take your sterling silver band and place it on a flat piece of silver plate, check that the turquoise still fits, then as in step 2 apply flux and solder the band to the plate.

Step4, remove the excess silver with your tin snips and sand off any rough edges.

Step5,decide on a shape for your bail and cut it out of silver accordingly, bend into shape .now solder that to the pendant ,and while hot dip the whole pendant into a small jar of acid ,rinse in a jar of clear water and dry.

Step6, Place your turquoise into you silver and carefully trim away any surplus silver. Once your happy with the fit you can sand the silver again with fine grade emery paper, give a small amount of epoxy to the inside of the pendant and insert the turquoise stone .Now take a spoon and using the back work it around the pendant to give a snug fit with the silver and allow to dry.

Step7, Using your flexi grinder insert a polishing cloth disc, add some silver polish and buff the silver to the required finish.

The principles above are applied to all silver work; no it’s up to the imagination of the jewelry designer and skillfulness of the jeweler.

By this time you have fully researched them. Their Brochure has listed the hundreds of manufactures just waiting to buy your product. All we need now is the perfect PROTOTYPE. For only $10,000 to $15,000 of your money, they will design, build, and “market” your brainchild, and take only 10-15% of what you make.The “marketing” consist  in most cases, of false promises.The so-called manufacturing contacts, constitutes no more then listing your invention on a website that prospectivebuyers can view. A good prototype will occasionally bepresented at trade shows. Most cases however, sadly end up with a $20,000+ souvenir for their efforts.

There are a few Invention Companies that do offer to pay for everything, if your idea or invention is worthy of their investment. Of course they will take a piece of the pie,20-25%.
That seems fair. If they’re footing the bill, then they are surly going to do everything to get you that licencing agreement. The “hook” here is that an evaluation must first
be performed, to determine the validity of your project. That will be priced at about $200. Now if you truly believe yours is the next best thing, this is the way to go. It was for me.
I will warn you however, your idea must be marketable to absolutely everyone, or don’t waste your money. I came about 12 points from acceptance, because I was catering to a niche market. A very large niche, but none the less, a niche market. I don’t regret the investment however, I was  able to learn a little more about the business. They told meabout the Provisional Patent. Which for only $100 will give you protection for a year. Let the manufacture who buys the idea pay for your real Patent. Something you’ll never hear from those other invention companies. They also guided me in the direction of some website’s that manufactures peruse.
Which brings me to this little tip for you. Never send anyone anything original without first doing:
A POOR MANS COPYRIGHT
It is something I learned about when I was a young writer submitting television treatments. Any original thought or  idea that you come up with, should be protected with this procedure. On paper, write down everything about your idea, including all drawings or plans. Then mail it to yourself as registered mail. It will be timed stamped and dated. Keep it safe because it is considered a legal document, and will hold up in court.

Well now that I knew about patent searches, patents, and provisional patents, I thought what else didn’t I have knowledge of. Further research led me to an offer by a very respected inventor. He has dozens of patents, many of which has made him extremely wealthy. Currency Trading Tips - How to Choose the Best Pair for Forex Currency Trade

Does anyone of you have an idea on which currency pairs are the best to trade in forex? Is it the major currency pairs, the cross pairs or the exotic pairs? Well there isn't really a right and wrong answer; it depends on how you define 'best'. If a currency pair has tight spreads, it may be considered the best trading currency pair for you, but may not apply for others. So now we'll discuss on various factors on choosing a forex pair:

1. Spreads - There is always an advantage to trade currency pairs that have a tight spread in forex trading. It means that lesser spreads equal to more profit, lesser spreads give you more room for price fluctuation if you have a tight stop loss and lesser spreads may help you to breakeven your forex trade earlier. Does that make sense to you? EUR/USD has the tightest spread of 2 to 3 pips for most forex brokers and even 1 pip for some brokers, while GBP/JPY has spread of 6 to 10 pips. For some forex traders who care a lot on spreads, he will certainly choose the formal over the latter.

2. Trendiness - For chartist traders like me, I depend mostly on technical indicators to help me decide which forex currency pair to trade. Although volatility is considered good, but it is then more risky and need a wider range of stop loss. e.g. is GBP/USD. On my forex trading screen, I have 7 to 8 currency pairs in smaller windows, so that I'm able to decide which pair is the trendiest, even when all pairs seem to have a trend. Though EUR/USD and USD/CHF is negatively correlated 90% of the time, you will sometimes find either of the pairs trending better than the other. Therefore you will want to choose the more trendy pair to trade with the help of some forex technical indicators.

3. Trading Sessions - The best time to trade forex is when the market is the most active and therefore has the biggest volume of trades. During Asian hours when Tokyo opens, the better trading time is from 7PM EST to 10PM EST. But since not all the currency pairs are actively moving, you may want to trade AUD/USD as it starts to move during the stated timing. When London market opens, this is where you can trade almost all the currency pairs. I will trade from 3AM EST to 6AM EST depending on the trendiness of the pair; example is GBP/USD, EUR/USD etc. Another trading session which will experience high volatility is from 8AM EST to 12PM EST where both the London and U.S. markets are open at the same time.

After looking at the above factors, do you think there is a right and wrong answer on choosing the best forex currency pair? I doubt so. As long as you are using a reliable forex trading system to help you, all currency pairs can be profitable. Gobal Warming Induced Heat Waves Are More Deadly Than A Killer Virus

A record heat wave scorched Europe in August 2003, claiming an estimated 65,000 lives. In France alone, 17,622 people died from the searing temperatures, more than 19 times the death toll from the SARS epidemic worldwide. In the worst heat spell in decades, temperatures in France soared to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (40 degrees Celsius) and remained unusually high for two weeks.

This summer's high temperatures also hit other European countries. Germany saw some 9,000 people die from the heat. Spain and Italy each suffered heat-related losses of nearly 7,300 lives. The heat wave claimed at least 1,900 lives in Portugal and up to 2,400 lives in the Netherlands.

In London - which on August 10th recorded its first triple-digit Fahrenheit temperature - an estimated 1,600 people died from the heat. Heat-related fatalities across the United Kingdom reached 2,045. In Belgium, temperatures higher than any in the Royal Meteorological Society's register dating back to 1833 brought 150 deaths. Since reports are not available for all European countries, the total heat death toll for the continent is likely to be substantially larger.

August 2003 was the warmest August on record in the northern hemisphere, but according to the projections of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), even more extreme weather events lie ahead. By the end of the century, the world's average temperature is projected to increase by 2.5-10.4 degrees Fahrenheit (1.4-5.8 degrees Celsius). As the mercury climbs, more frequent and more severe heat waves are in store.

Though heat waves rarely are given adequate attention, they claim more lives each year than floods, tornadoes, and hurricanes combined. Heat waves are a silent killer, mostly affecting the elderly, the very young, or the chronically ill.

Under normal circumstances, humans maintain a body temperature around 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. When subject to extreme heat, the body attempts to maintain this ideal temperature by varying blood circulation and perspiring. When the internal body temperature rises above 104 degrees Fahrenheit, vital organs are at risk. If the body temperature is not brought down, death follows.

The threshold ambient temperature at which more people are at risk for heat-related health problems varies greatly by location. In general, when summer temperatures range 10 degrees Fahrenheit or more above the norm, incidences of heat-related illness increase dramatically. High humidity compounds the effects of high heat by reducing evaporation, rendering perspiration a less-effective cooling mechanism. When excessive heat prevails for more than two consecutive days, the risk of heat sickness and death escalates. Health and social services may be overwhelmed.

Heat waves take the greatest human toll in cities. Urban centers, where the area of heat-absorbing dark roofs and pavement exceeds the area covered by cooling vegetation, are like "heat islands" and can be as much as 10 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than the surrounding countryside. While people in rural areas generally get some relief from the heat when temperatures fall at night, urban areas stay warmer around the clock. Air pollution, which usually is worse in cities than in the countryside, can also exacerbate the health-damaging effects of high temperatures by further stressing the body's respiratory and circulatory systems.

Several of the worst heat waves of the twentieth century occurred in U.S. cities. In 1955, an eight-day run of temperatures over 100 degrees Fahrenheit in Los Angeles left 946 people dead. In 1972, New York City suffered a two-week heat wave that claimed 891 lives. More recently, an extreme heat wave in Chicago in 1995 killed 739 people in a matter of days. Slow political recognition of the threat and an overloaded response system worsened the effects of the weather anomaly.

A lack of public recognition of the danger that high temperatures pose adds to the lethality of heat waves. Heat wave warnings often do not carry the weight of other natural disaster alerts. Except during major outbreaks, heat-related deaths often go unreported, and few governments systematically keep records of them.

Even once a heat wave has passed, politicians are reluctant to acknowledge its toll. Chicago's mayor denied the severity of the city's 1995 heat wave. In Europe, it took over a month for France's government to release heat wave fatality estimates that corroborated estimates from overwhelmed undertakers. Several neighboring governments are still challenging reports from medical examiners.

Even in India, where heat-related fatalities in the thousands during pre-monsoonal high temperatures are no longer uncommon, the National Disaster Management Cell does not classify heat waves as a natural disaster. While accurate data are hard to come by, it appears that India has seen the number of deaths due to heat climb over the years as populations have grown and temperatures have risen.

In May 2003, peak temperatures of 113-117 degrees Fahrenheit (45-49 degrees Celsius) claimed over 1,600 lives throughout the country. In the state of Andhra Pradesh alone, some 1,200 people died from the heat. A year earlier, a one-week heat wave with temperatures topping 122 degrees Fahrenheit took over 1,000 lives.

Over the last 25 years the average global temperature rose by 1 degree Fahrenheit, or 0.6 degrees Celsius. The IPCC's projected rise in temperature for this century is a global average, but the temperature is expected to rise more over land, where people live, than over sea. As temperatures continue to climb, the toll of heat waves in individual countries could jump from the thousands to the tens of thousands. The World Meteorological Organization estimates that the number of heat-related fatalities could double in less than 20 years.

Already we are seeing evidence of more frequent heat waves. In India, death tolls from heat that were recorded over an entire summer some 10 years ago are now occurring in just one week. In the United States, a 1998 study of summertime temperatures using data from 1949 to 1995 found that the frequency of extremely hot and humid days and the occurrence of multiple-day heat waves increased significantly during that period. Some of the increase is due to urbanization, a trend that is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.

Although the historical data for heat waves leave much to be desired, we can say with confidence that the August heat wave in Europe has broken all records for heat-induced human fatalities. As awareness of the scale of this tragedy spreads, it is likely to generate pressure to reduce carbon emissions. For many of the millions who suffered through these record heat waves and the relatives of the tens of thousands who died, cutting carbon emissions is becoming a pressing personal issue.
